Pisco, 5760m (3days)

Description

Route: Southwest ridge
Elevation Gain: 1150m from the Base camp, 850m from the Moraine camp
Grade: PD

Pisco is one of the most popular mountains in Cordillera Blanca mainly for two reasons. The locations in between one of the highest mountains such as Huascarán, Chopicalqui, Huandoys and Chacraraju is amazing. Add in the beautiful view also the mountains you can observe in the north – Artesonraju, Quitaraju, Alpamayo, Taulliraju and Santa Cruz – and you know you are enjoying on the summit one of the most spectacular views Cordillera Blanca can offer. The other thing is that Pisco is quite easy to climb and you dont need previous experience of mountaineering when you climb with a certified guide.
